Happy Birthday, Dr. King!
Mystikal Released from Prison.
After serving a six-year prison sentence, Rapper Mystikal is finally free.
On January 16, 2004, Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was convicted of forcing his hairstylist to perform sex acts, as well as fraud, and was sent to prison.
Mystikal was one of the hottest rappers in the 90s, locally and nationally. Although the world knows him as Mr. "Shake It Fast," we know him on the level of "Y'all Aint Ready Yet," and "Here I Go;" before all that commercial hype.
While riding back to New Orleans, after being released, Mystikal was interviewed by Q93's Wild Wayne.

RIP, Teddy P.
Teddy Pendergrass, R&B singer, crooner, and legend, died yesterday after his battle with colon cancer. He was 59.
Teddy P was diagnosed with cancer last year, and had a hard time recovering from surgery. He died at the Bryn Mawr Hospital, in Philadelphia.
In 1982, Teddy P was in a car crash that left him paralyzed. Being confined to a wheelchair slightly slowed his career down. But he still came with the ballads.
Aww, Teddy P! It's funny how we really don't cherish the music the same as we do when someone passes away. I love music, so I always appreciate it, but his death intensifies my love for these songs and REAL music. They just don't make music like they use to.
There are too many Teddy P songs that I love. I won't post 'em all, but I will post one, one that I plan to play at my wedding! Lol.
Coincidentally, I love this song that samples Teddy's song. Whatchu know about thiiiiiiiiis?

La La Vazquez + Carmelo Anthony To Wed This Summer.
Actress and TV personality, Alani "La La" Vazquez, and Denver Nuggets' small forward, Carmelo Anthony, will finally tie the knot Summer 2010.
According to Fly Style Life, La La and her mother, Carmen, were seen at Cipriano's in NYC, where they met with celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss. She's responsible for the lavish weddings of Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria.
The two have been engaged since December 25, 2004. They have a son, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, born on March 7, 2007.
Add La La to the list among "the besties" getting married. First Khloe Kardashian, now her. Kim, Lauren, Ciara, where you at tho?! LOL.
